Breakdown

The son of King David is King Solomon. King Solomon committed iniquity by following strange gods (1 Kings 11), but he was never chastened with the rod of men. Matthew 1 refers to whom the world calls Jesus Christ (Yahawashi) as being the son of David. Although Yahawashi never committed sin (2 Corinthians 5:21), he was chastened with the rod of men, thus fulfilling this prophecy.
