This verse is manyfold. heathen rage During the time of Yahawashi, the heathens thought that killing Yahawashi would put a stop to everything that was going on surrounding him. people imagine a vain During the same time period, the wicked Israelites also thought the same thing. Nowadays, the same things are happening, i.e. the heathens are trying to stop the word from coming out, whereas the wicked Israelites try to subvert the true prophets of the Lord and the true gospel.
