Revelation 9:1

And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

Breakdown

fifth angel The first of the last three woes. The bottomless-pit is Europe because there is a lack of natural resources there. The beast (originally the Roman Empire, now NATO, The EU and US, i.e. the neo-Roman Empire) came out of Europe further proving that the bottomless pit is referring to Europe.
