Breakdown

During slavery of either the Northern or Southern Kingdom of Israel, there was nothing that the Israelites could do to stop the atrocities that were happening to them, e.g. children being sold, parents being sold, rape, etc. All rebellions got crushed.

Breakdown

Egypt represents bondage, i.e. a place of slavery. This scripture cannot be talking about ancient Egypt because Israel to Egypt is "walking distance", therefore it is referencing modern-day Egypt, which would be America ($1 bill, Revelation 11:8). Only one group of people have been taking into slavery on slave ships.

ye shall be sold unto your enemies All the nations that Israel was enslaved under their enemies. sold The Israelites were sold. No man shall buy you is old Quaker English for 'no man shall set you free', buy representing redemption (Deuteronomy 32:6, Psalms 74:1-2, Isaiah 11:11, 2 Peter 2:1, 1 Corinthians 6:20).
